On site · Jarrah on the horses
Started to build fewer houses, properly.
Tom founded Ironbark Builds in 2008. He is a registered WA building contractor, and he is on site, and on the phone, for every job we take on.
The crew is small, and that is the point. Six to eight homes a year is as many as one builder can be properly present for, from the set-out pegs to the last coat of oil on the jarrah.
We build architect-designed homes, homes we design with our clients, and major renovations, in the towns around Margaret River.
Fewer houses. The same builder from the first peg to the last key.
02Where we build
Seven towns between the capes.
From Dunsborough and Yallingup in the north to Witchcliffe in the south, with Margaret River in the middle. Close enough that Tom can be on every site.

03Why so few
1
Small on purpose, and staying that way.
Growing would mean handing sites to supervisors. We would rather build fewer houses and know every one of them by heart.
It keeps us local, too. Every house we build is in the towns around Margaret River, close enough to visit any of them in a morning.
New-home consultation
Start with the block.
Bring an architect's plans, a survey or just an address. We will talk about the site, the sun and what you want to build.
