01Who we are and what this covers
Digisurge Pty Ltd (ABN 14 647 066 368) runs digisurge.com.au and the Digisurge platform. We handle personal information under the Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles.
This policy covers this website, your Digisurge account, and enquiries that visitors send through the websites we host for our customers.
02What we collect
- Account details: your name, email address, business name, ABN, phone number and address.
- Your brief: the answers you give about your business, plus any words, logos and photos you upload.
- Billing: your subscription and payment history. Card details are handled by our payment provider, Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
- Domain details: the registrant information that auDA rules require for a .com.au domain.
- Assistant conversations: the requests you send to your site's assistant and the changes it makes.
- Contact messages: what you send through our contact form or by email.
- Enquiries on customer sites: when someone fills in a form on a website we host, we receive what they send so we can pass it to that business.
03Why we use it
- to build, host and change your website
- to register and manage your domain
- to bill you and issue tax invoices
- to answer your questions and give support
- to keep the platform secure and prevent misuse
- to improve how we build sites, using what we learn from reviews of finished sites
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for advertising profiles.
04AI services and overseas processing
Your website is hosted in Australia. To design, build and change it, we send your brief, content and assistant requests to AI services: Anthropic (Claude) for research, design, writing and code, and Google (Gemini) for generated images. These providers process data outside Australia, including in the United States. Payments are processed by Stripe, which may also process data overseas.
We use these services under business terms, and we only send them what is needed for the task.
06Keeping it safe
Data is encrypted in transit. Access to customer data is limited to the people and systems that need it, and staff accounts use two-factor sign-in. If a data breach is likely to cause you serious harm, we will tell you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner, as the law requires.
08How long we keep it
We keep your account information while you are a customer and for as long as tax and other laws require afterwards. When you cancel, your website is taken offline and your uploaded content is deleted after a reasonable period, unless the law requires us to keep it.
09Seeing or correcting your information
You can ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, by emailing hello@digisurge.com.au. We will respond within 30 days.
10Complaints
If you think we have mishandled your personal information, email us first and we will look into it. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
