From a few answers to a finished website.

Four stages, most of them done for you. Here is what happens, what you do at each one, and how long it takes.

01Brief

You tell us about the business. Not about websites.

No design jargon and no wireframes. You answer questions any owner can: what you do, who for, where, what makes you different, and what you want people to do when they find you. Then a few about taste: sites you like, and things you never want to see.

  • Your business, services, hours and service areas
  • Your customers and what you want them to do
  • What makes you different, in your own words
  • Styles you like and styles you hate
  • Your photos, if you have them

A sample brief, and what it became

BriefFictional

Business
Coastline Electrical, Joondalup WA
Customers
Homeowners in the northern coastal suburbs, many in older homes needing switchboard upgrades
Goal
Phone calls and quote requests
Tone
Down to earth, reliable, a bit coastal, very professional. Not salesy.
Likes
Clean, confident, a sense of the coast without being touristy
Never
Lightning bolts, hard hats, clip-art, the yellow and black trade look
coastline-electrical.concept
The Coastline Electrical concept home page: navy headline, a modern coastal house and a copper call button
The site it became

Concept: “Single Line”. A copper circuit line runs through every page, and there is not a lightning bolt in sight.

02Brand

No logo yet? You get to choose one.

From your answers we make between three and six logo options. Pick the one that feels like you, and the rest of the brand pack follows: colours, type, simple guidelines and vector files. It is yours to keep and use anywhere, from the van to the business cards. Already have a logo? Upload it and we build around it.

03Build

Built the way a senior studio works.

Claude, an AI model made by Anthropic, does the work an agency team would split between a strategist, an art director, a copywriter, a developer and a tester. It does not fill in a template. It starts each site from a blank page.

  1. 01

    Research

It studies businesses like yours in your area, and the best sites in your industry anywhere, to learn what is overdone and what works.

  2. 02

    Art direction

It writes a named concept for your site, with signature devices, colours, type and a plan for every page.

  3. 03

    Imagery

It makes atmosphere, texture and detail images that look like one shoot. Never fake photos of your work, team or premises.

  4. 04

    Words

It writes every page in your voice, around the words your customers search for. Only facts you gave us. No invented reviews or awards.

  5. 05

    Code and testing

It builds the site, then checks it at phone, tablet and desktop widths, for speed, accessibility and broken links.

  6. 06

    Critique

A separate AI critic, with fresh eyes, scores it against a twelve-point rubric. It goes back for fixes until the score clears our bar.

Checks every site must pass

A site cannot finish until it clears the bar.

2.5s

Largest content on a phone shown in under 2.5 seconds, tested on a throttled mobile connection.

0

Serious accessibility problems allowed, checked at phone, tablet and desktop widths.

4.2

Average design score out of 5 the critic must give, with nothing under 4.

12

Criteria in the rubric, from concept and typography to mobile and "would this win the pitch?"

Desktop

04Live

Live on your domain. Then it keeps up with you.

Your site goes live on your .com.au with HTTPS, hosted in Australia. While we launch, a person at Digisurge looks over every site before it goes live. From then on, the assistant in your account handles changes whenever you ask.
