Acceptable use policy

What you can publish on a Digisurge website, and what you can ask the assistant to do. Draft, under legal review.

Draft

This is a draft under legal review and is not yet in force. It shows how we intend to work, written plainly. The final version will be published here before launch, and you will be asked to accept it before you pay.

01Why this exists

Every Digisurge site shares the same platform, so one misused site can harm everyone else on it. This policy is part of our terms of service.

02Content you cannot publish

  • anything illegal in Australia, or that promotes illegal activity
  • false or misleading claims about your business, such as invented reviews, awards, qualifications, licences, prices or results
  • content that copies someone else's work, brand or trade marks without permission
  • content that impersonates another person or business
  • hate speech, harassment, threats, or content that targets a private person
  • sexually explicit material
  • malware, phishing pages, or anything built to collect passwords or payment details under false pretences

03Images of your business

Photos of your real work, team, products or premises must be your own. Our assistant will not generate images that pretend to show them, and you must not ask it to, because that would mislead your customers.

04Using the assistant

  • Ask it to change your own site only.
  • Do not try to make it access other customers' sites or data, reveal how it is configured, or get around these rules.
  • Do not use it to produce bulk content for other websites, or for spam.

05Forms and email

Your site's forms are for genuine enquiries from your customers. Do not use them, or our platform, to send unsolicited bulk messages. Spam laws apply to you and to us.

06Regulated industries

If your business needs a licence or registration, such as electrical, building, health or financial services, your site must state only the licences and registrations you actually hold. You are responsible for meeting the advertising rules of your industry.

07If something breaks these rules

We may remove content, decline a request, or suspend a site that breaks this policy. Where it is reasonable we will contact you first and give you a chance to fix it. Serious or repeated breaches can end your subscription.

08Report a problem

If you see a Digisurge site breaking these rules, tell us at hello@digisurge.com.au.
