A pale celadon jug with a clean-cutting spout and the throwing rings left in. Milk, water, or a fistful of wattle.
The throwing rings are left on the outside so you can see how it was pulled up from a lump of clay. The spout is cut to pour without dribbling, which is harder than it looks.
The celadon glaze is the colour of shallow water over sand. It looks as good on the table with flowers in it as it does in use.
