Ceramics
A generous everyday mug with a grey-green wood ash glaze that pools darker where it gathers. No two are quite alike.
Thrown on the wheel in Tasmania, then glazed with a wood ash recipe that moves in the kiln. Where the glaze runs thick it turns a deeper green; where it thins you can see the clay underneath.
It holds a proper cup of tea, sits well in two hands on a cold Hobart morning, and the handle has room for three fingers. Because every firing is different, yours will vary a little from the one pictured. That is the point.
