Five colourways
Colours that look like they've had a summer
Every colour is named after something on the walk down to the water. The strips show each one at full strength, then bleached out, the way everything ends up in Byron.
- Kelp01The dark olive of the weed line after a southerly.
- Driftwood02The grey of an old fence post at the top of the beach track.
- Saltbush03The silver green of the dune scrub, dusty with salt.
- Ochre04The burnt orange of the cliffs when the sun gets low.
- Tidepool05The deep green blue of the water just past the rocks.

Men's · Trunks and boardshorts
For the bloke who's in before work
Trunks and boardshorts cut plain, made from recycled nylon and sized S to XXL. The Broken Head, shown here in Driftwood, goes from the water to the bakery without a change.
Shop men'sOur story · Since 2019
Started by a surf instructor who lived in her cossies
Jess spent years teaching people to surf, which is a long time to spend in swimwear. In 2019 she started Saltwater Swim Co. in Byron Bay to make the plain, hardworking pieces she wanted to wear.
Everything is cut from recycled nylon and sewn in small runs by a family-owned manufacturer in Sydney. There is no shop. Just the label, the workroom and this website.
