New patients
Your first visit, gently paced.
Everything you might want to know before you come in: what happens, how we look after nervous patients, and how fees and health funds work.

Your first visit
What happens, in order.
A first appointment at Northside is longer than a regular visit. That time is for talking, not rushing.
Before you arrive
Send a booking request or call us. Mention anything that would help, from nerves to a tight schedule.
Settling in
Park on site for free. We take a few details about your health and go over any questions. There is no hurry.
A conversation
Tell us what has been bothering you, or simply that you are due for a check-up. Then we explain what we will do.
A check-up, explained
We look at your teeth and gums, telling you what we are doing as we go.
Your options
If anything needs treatment, we explain the choices and costs plainly. You can take time to decide.
Nervous patients
If you are nervous, you set the pace.
Feeling anxious about the dentist is common, and never something to feel silly about. We are known for gentle care and for looking after nervous patients.
Tell us how you feel when you book. We will plan a longer first appointment and explain everything before we start, so there are no surprises.
A longer first appointment
More time to talk, ask questions and get comfortable before anything happens.
Everything explained first
Before each step we tell you what we are about to do and what it involves.
Gentle, unhurried care
We work gently and check in with you as we go.
Questions always welcome
Ask about anything, as often as you like. No question is too small.
Breathe with us
Ready when you are.
In for four, out for six. A few slow rounds can help you settle, here or in the waiting room.

Fees and health funds
Costs, explained before anything begins.
Check-ups and cleans are no-gap1 for most health funds. For anything beyond that, we explain the cost of your treatment before we start, so you can decide with all the facts.
Every fund and level of cover is a little different. If you are unsure what your policy includes, ask us when you book and we will help you work it out.
Good to bring
- Your health fund card
- A list of any medicines you take
- Your questions, written down if that helps
Questions

Yes. Parking is on site and free.
How do I book?
Send a booking request through our form or call us, and we will be in touch to confirm a time.
