Set 01Coaches
Coached. Not yelled at.
Ironclad was started by a former rugby league strength coach. The coaching here is direct and patient, and it runs on one idea: hard work without the ego.

Set 02Where it started
Built for the work.
Ironclad opened in 2019, started by a former rugby league strength coach. Inside the warehouse: barbells, racks, sleds and a turf track. No mirrors, no machines.
That background shows in how we coach. Programs run in blocks, every session has a job to do, and everyone from first-timers to powerlifters gets coached properly.
Set 03How we coach
Four rules on the floor.
- 01
Technique before load
You earn weight on the bar by moving well. A coach would rather take weight off than watch a rep go ugly.
- 02
Everyone gets inducted
First-timer or powerlifter, you start one-on-one. It's how we learn how you move and what you're after.
- 03
Small groups, real coaching
Ten is the cap. Enough for a good room, few enough that nobody hides at the back.
- 04
Hard work, no ego
Nobody cares what you lift compared with the person next to you. We care that you show up and get stronger.

Set 04Women coaching women
Women coaches for the intro.
Our 4-week women's lifting intro is coached by women, for women who are new to the bar.
It's a place to learn the lifts properly, ask every question you've got, and leave ready for a class or open gym.
Meet a coach on the floor.
The best way to know if our coaching suits you is to train with us. Your first class is free.
