Electrical services for northern coast homes

The six things we do most, explained plainly: what's involved, the signs you need it, and anything worth knowing before you call.

C1Switchboards

From ceramic fuses to a safe, modern board

The job we do most. We replace old fuse boards with circuit breakers and safety switches, label every circuit, and leave the board neat enough to show off.

What we do

  • Replace ceramic fuses with circuit breakers
  • Install safety switches (RCDs) on power and lighting circuits
  • Label every circuit clearly
  • Upgrade boards ready for solar, batteries or EV chargers
  • Test everything before we leave

Signs you need it

  • You still have ceramic fuses or fuse wire
  • A safety switch keeps tripping
  • You're selling or renting and need compliant RCDs
  • You're adding solar, a battery or an EV charger

Good to know

In WA, homes for sale and rentals need at least two RCDs protecting the power point and lighting circuits, installed by a licensed electrical contractor. Test them every three months.

C2Solar and batteries

Batteries for the solar you already have

Battery retrofits for existing solar are booming on the coast. We're accredited solar and battery installers and handle the whole job, from the switchboard to the paperwork.

What we do

  • Batteries added to existing solar systems
  • New solar and battery systems
  • Advice on Virtual Power Plant requirements
  • Help working out which WA and federal rebates apply
  • Switchboard work to suit

Signs you need it

  • Your solar exports most of its power in the afternoon
  • Your evening power bills keep climbing
  • You're a Synergy customer and might qualify for the WA rebate

Good to know

The WA Residential Battery Scheme gives Synergy customers up to $1,300, based on 10 kWh, if the battery can join a Virtual Power Plant and comes from an approved vendor. We confirm current amounts on your quote.

C3EV chargers

Home EV chargers, sized and installed neatly

We install home chargers for all the major brands, check your switchboard can handle the load, and run cables so they look like they were always meant to be there.

What we do

  • Home charger installs for every major brand
  • Switchboard capacity checks
  • Single-phase and three-phase setups
  • Neat cable runs in garages and carports

Signs you need it

  • You've bought or ordered an electric car
  • Charging from a normal power point is too slow
  • You want to charge from daytime solar

Good to know

Synergy's EV Add-On includes a cheaper 9am to 3pm window. It needs a compatible meter, and Western Power may need to reprogram or replace yours.
