Wood-fired on Sydney Road, Brunswick

Make it molten.

Tap a base, a sauce, a cheese and whatever you fancy. The real one comes out of a 450 degree wood-fired oven on dough we've fussed over for three days.

That's a margherita. Correct answer.

It's a toy, not a till. Your build drops into our order enquiry and we'll ring to confirm what's on today.

The nerdy bit

Good pizza is mostly patience and heat. We have strong feelings about both, and a long bench where you can watch them happen.

Dough with a three-day head start

Every base gets seventy-two hours to rest and rise before it meets the fire. That's where the puffy, chewy, blistered edge comes from.

An oven running at 450 degrees

Wood-fired and properly hot. The crust puffs, the cheese goes molten and the edge picks up the black leopard spots we refuse to call burnt.

Brothers, trained in Naples

Two brothers learned the craft in Naples, came home and opened on Sydney Road in 2020, with a menu split into classics and Molten specials.

On the board

Margherita, marinara, diavola and friends, plus a rotating crew of Molten specials. Here are the three everybody argues about.

  1. Margherita

Tomato, fior di latte, basil. The one we're judged on.

  2. Diavola

Tomato, fior di latte, hot salami. Brings the heat.

  3. Marinara

    Tomato, no cheese, no apologies.

Molten specials

Rotating chef's pizzas that change when the brothers get a new idea. Ring and ask what's in the oven this week.

Four ways to get it hot

Ring it, grab it, sit at the bench.

Pick-up and group orders are our bread and butter. Well, our dough and cheese.

  1. Pick up

Order by phone and it's ready in about 20 minutes. Walk in, grab the red box, try not to open it in the car.

  2. Local delivery

We deliver within 5 km of the shop on Sydney Road. Not sure if that's you? Ring and ask.

  3. The long bench

Dine in at the long bench, right where the oven does its thing. Good for a quick one before a gig.

  4. Group orders

Ten pizzas or more, ordered a day ahead. Offices, birthdays, the whole band.

    How group orders work

Feeding a crowd

Friday lunch for the office, a pre-gig feed for the crew, a family night that got out of hand. Give us a day's notice and we'll fire the lot.
